We purchase our products exclusively from manufacturers and farmers who have been certified according to European organic guidelines. Many additionally have Fairtrade guidelines. Our employees regularly visit our suppliers, giving us the opportunity to personally gain a reliable picture of our suppliers, their operations and working methods. With fair sales prices, we help to ensure that as many farmers as possible around the world choose organic farming. The devastation from this typhoon is impacting both lives and livelihoods, with many plantations and production facilities suffering extensive damage. As a result, we’re facing potential supply shortages across all coconut-based products—an issue that will ripple throughout the industry. With trees damaged and facilities compromised, suppliers are struggling to assess the full extent of production delays, and there’s currently no timeline for when shipments might resume. This disruption is likely to lead to tighter supplies and upward pressure on prices in the global market for coconut ingredients, including oils, milk, and other derived products. In this difficult time, our hearts go out to the communities affected.
