BERNER around the world… our series continues! 🚀 As part of his dual studies in Service Management, our colleague Paul Seipelt (group photo, middle) had the opportunity to gain international experience and completed a two-month internship at our subsidiary Berner Österreich. During this time, he was able to develop a much deeper understanding of purchasing processes and supply chain management. “I can take a lot of what I've learned home with me and it will for sure benefit me in my dual studies.” Of course, there was also plenty of time for activities, such as city-trips or hiking in the Alps. What Paul will remember most about his internship? “The team spirit and the fundamental hospitality of the Austrians were unique. In line with our corporate value 'be connected', our local teams came together at the Mid Season Summits, which were held by all our subsidiaries. As part of the event series the local management teams provided information on current business developments, gave an outlook and presented exciting new #chemical #innovations for #mobility and #construction professionals. As communicators, we for once are almost at a loss for words: with great #pride we can announce that our Group-wide project 'Value & Engagement Award' was honored at the INKOMETA Award as 'Best in Class' in the category 'Culture & Purpose' 🏆!   What convinced the jury? The BERNER family continues to grow! 🙌 Last week, nine young #talents started their #apprenticeship or dual studies at our subsidiaries Albert Berner Deutschland GmbH, BTI Befestigungstechnik GmbH & Co. KG or the Holding. This means that we are currently training a total of 58 young colleagues in 16 different professions in and around our founding location Künzelsau. During the joint welcome week, they got to know each other and the other year groups and learned everything they need to know to start their careers with us. Once again, we were able to fill all vacant training positions at the three #subsidiaries. In this, internal recommendations were an important success factor. That is also how Neele Stuck became aware of our #company and has now started her dual studies with a focus on Service Management HR. "A friend has also been doing the dual study program since last year. She really enjoys it. When I was also accepted, I was absolutely delighted." Gabriel Stricker came to The Berner Group in a similar way. In his case, however, the recommendation was intergenerational and within his own family: "My grandfather Günter Stricker was the first employee in Purchasing to work for BERNER for around 35 years until he retired. It's a great experience for me that I can now follow in his footsteps to a certain extent with the dual study program with a focus on Business Administration and Retail Marketing."   We wish all young talents a good start and a successful #training period. Our #European #logistics offensive continues: This calendar year and next, we will further invest around 10 million euros in the modernization and expansion of our ware houses 👍 We will be starting in several countries almost at the same time in autumn.  There will be a particularly strong boost for the logistics of our subsidiaries Albert Berner Deutschland GmbH, Berner Portugal and BERNER MONTAJE Y FIJACION SL. 💪 "The planned measures will significantly strengthen our position as a leading #B2B specialist once again*, says Robert Kühl, Chief #Supply Chain Officer at the The Berner Group. "We will consistently drive forward our Group-wide logistics offensive. Our medium-term goal is to build a fast and reliable supply network so that we can provide our customers with what they need on the day they order, i.e. #intraday." 🛠🚚
