Together with the strategy experts at Kearney, we conducted an in-depth study revealing the hidden costs behind Black Friday promotions in the German retail sector. While sales surge during these events, our research shows that profitability often takes a hit. In summary: In 2023 alone, retailers saw a staggering loss of up to €300 million in profits due to deep discounts and shifts in consumer behavior. But there’s hope: AI-powered pricing solutions offer a path forward. By leveraging intelligent pricing models, retailers could potentially recapture up to €290 million in profit, balancing competitive pricing with sustainable revenue. We’re excited to continue pushing the boundaries of what AI can achieve in the retail space and appreciate the recognition for our contributions to this critical conversation.
