Intersections are a global hotspot for traffic fatalities and injuries. Nearly a quarter of U.S. fatalities occur in these areas, according to the U.S. Department of Transportation. 5GAA's new report on the 'InterSafe Service' highlights how infrastructure sensor-sharing and Vehicle-to-Everything communication can enhance safety for all road users, including vulnerable road users like pedestrians and cyclists. The report outlines use cases, deployment options, and a framework for interoperable, standardised solutions, delivering safety benefits even in early #V2X adoption stages ‼️ By guiding global standards development, it aims to reduce intersection-related incidents and accelerate life-saving technology. 📖 https://lnkd.in/dMw4wbEG
