You’d wanna start by thinking of your entire presentation akin to telling a story. You start off with your thesis (main objective/point), and the various segments as your key points to support your main thesis. The end of each point should open up a segue to transit to your next point’s topic sentence. Shuffle your presentation’s content such that you can go from one to another & utilise signpostings such as “firstly,” “secondly,” to make that transition more seamless.

Like many have shared, making a presentation is likened to story telling. There has to be the start, body and conclusion for the story to flow. I treat my presentations this way and start with a “prologue” in the form of an objective. Once your audience is clear why they are there, they follow better. Secondly, I always share a high level breakdown of the sub topics to be covered. Lastly, in between every sub topic ending, I introduce the new one in its own slide and continue with the story telling. With this, if my audience is ever lost, I bring them back on track at every interlude thus keeping them engaged and therefore leading a productive presentation.
