En la actualidad y con el fin de aportar en temas de sostenibilidad y medio ambiente, en el ámbito administrativo contemplar dentro de un presupuesto un porcentaje destinado a prácticas ecológicas es lo ideal, este porcentaje puede ir incluido en el AIU. Otra opción pero a nivel operacional osea en obra es que los residuos que se generen, se donen a empresas que hacen de esos residuos de obra compostaje y abono para fertilizar la tierra.
