As part of the experimental part of my Ph.D., I use social network analysis to model and study the relationships between debtors and creditors, and how their relationships evolve. For this purpose, I have built the largest database of debtors and creditors in the Czech republic.

Projekty

  • Mining the Czech Insolvency Proceedings Data

This project is the result of my collaboration with Hospodářské noviny[1], one of the largest news sites in the Czech Republic and was initiated by me winning the Journalist Award 2013. The main goal of our work was to bring insight into the insolvency process in the Czech Republic and was mainly based on my data mining work regarding the Czech Insolvency Register[2]. Our collaboration resulted in a series of articles which were published on the web and in the daily press (02/03/2015)…

  • Strigil

Strigil is the result of the Software project I was involved in during my Master’s studies on Faculty of Mathematics and Physics on Charles University in Prague. I participated on this project as the Project Leader and Software Developer. In a team of 6 students we designed and implemented a distributed web crawler/scraper based on Java with RDF output for the Czech OpenData initiative[2]. I presented this project at the BigClean[1] conference in November 2012.
