Long time I didn't listen to such BS and alibism... (CzechCrunch podcast) Hey I am not an automotive expert. I like EVs, I drove Tesla for some time abroad and I found it to be a great deal... WHEN you are an enthusiast into tech, want you car to be modern centric with features that competitiors can dream about at that price range. Also if you have problem with a range of EV, Model 3 LR has around 600km, even if it was 500km in real life. If you drive a car without stopping for so long, you are psychopath and I wish I won't meet you on the road. We often drive to Austria and basically never drive more than 200-250km without stopping, there is always a coffee stop or something. I don't see how you have to "submit to the EV lifestyle". Then we have Skoda Auto... maybe the reason why people don't want to buy your EVs is because they are sh*t. Owners of Enyaq complain that there is zero to none software updates, that actually fix things or let alone improve them. The car is extremely overpiced compared to what you get with Chinese cars or even the Tesla. So the whole argument "people don't want it" is a BS. People don't want your cars, because they suck. I have never seen more clunky infotainment than the one that Volkswagen Group puts into Skodas. (At least the Superb and Kodiaq is something that works, good for them tho) Hey and I know that sales numbers are low, I am not denying it. But blaming the whole market, because of your own incompetency to create a functional car is stupid. Also let's focus more on how to make current petrol cars more efficient as well. Like you obviously lost the hearts and minds with the EVs, so maybe, just maybe, the right way would be to find a solution somewhere else and let it transition naturally. In other words, let the market do its thing.
