One funny story about when UX and UI go in the wrong direction. This is a mobile app from one huge telecommunications company in Poland. Did you know that when you go through the app and want to skip to the next page (1), you don't have any possibility to do this? Why? Because your action triggers an additional popup (2) to make a call to this company. It is not important to answer the question now: on which phones does this problem not occur. If this problem happens on most popular phones, it means it is a serious mistake. Especially if you encounter this problem with one of the biggest telecommunications companies. Poland is one of the quickest developing economies in European Union, however, it remains trapped in productivity gap of low automation. As pools of low skilled, cheap employees will deplete in the coming decades, Poland needs to invest in cheap robotics to bridge the gap. This however will become more and more difficult, as Poland sports one of the highest electricty prices in Europe.

Hello my LinkedIn network, it’s been a while 😁 Last week I had a blast presenting at Tesonet “It’s Not a Bug, It’s a QA festival” a new topic about cooperation and what we can learn from Game Theory about it. TL;DR; version bellow ⏬ A few words about the event first - it was really good. From the topics and venue to the organization, speakers, and networking opportunities, everything was outstanding👏 I hope many of the talks will be shared and made available at future public events 🤞 Kudos to the speakers, Michael Bolton making a distinction between shallow testing and deep testing, thats the one I lacked 👏 Lina Zubyte for questioning ROI and user value behind some bugs. Justas Laužadis for deep dive into “gap” and emphasizing the importance of the culture in QA processes. Gintarė P. for giving away core principles of how to “farm” mobile devices for automation. Erikas Čeponis for making automation observability look child’s play. 🤖 Dov Zavadskis 🤖 for creating AI tester on stage and proving that it will not take our job… or will it 🤔 A TL;DR; version of my topic: we are all selfish—yes, you read that correctly. If you’ve ever asked yourself, 'What will I gain from doing this?' you’re operating from a place of self-interest. The cooperation challenge becomes apparent when you try to imagine how selfish individuals could work together as a team. Your ability to collaborate would improve significantly if you abandoned the need to constantly be better than others. Only then can you truly become a strong team player and eventually be surrounded by like-minded individuals. This helping and supportive group could create far more value for a community, organization, or individuals. In the long run, this approach will yield far greater success than focusing solely on outperforming others ✌️
