Where should a Latin American business owner start or focus its advertisement strategy? Most @iVirtual customers are from Latin America, and one ordinary coincidence is that the majority lack an advertising budget. Therefore, we recommend starting in the lower part of the sales funnel and displaying ads in the Google #SERP (Search Engine Results Page). Why Google and not Bing? I recommend starting with Google SERP because it has more than 90% of the search market share. Why Google SERPs over other ad placements? Google SERPs are a direct line to active demand, reaching potential customers who are actively seeking your products. Thus, they are a strategic choice for your advertising focus. What type of Google ads? Two types of Google Ads are available in Google SERP: 1️⃣ Text Ads with Extensions. How to enter into the #LATAM market as a USA or Global company? Happy to provide my 2-cents. This was prior to the pandemia and we were able to go from zero (yes $0 ARR and MAU) to over 3MM in ARR in 1 year with a team of 4 that costs half of what a USA team would. We were agile and well funded by our employer from Silicon Valley. We hit #Mexico to #Argentina in our quest for new clients. Creating amazing partnerships every step of the way through #LinkedIN to do amazing local events. Then of course as we all know, COVID and all flights shut down. However, lesson learned. Now in 2025...we have #influencer marketing. DV360 vs. Google Ads: Which Platform Delivered Better Results for HTML5 Ads? Alejandra Rodriguez Rincon recently ran a head-to-head test to compare the performance of HTML5 display ads on DV360 and Google Ads, focusing on Click-Through Rate (CTR) and Cost-Per-Click (CPC) as our key metrics. The results? DV360 emerged as the clear winner, driving nearly 10,000 more clicks with a 5x higher CTR and a lower CPC than Google Ads. While Google Ads delivered more impressions, its limitations on broad targeting for a "Maximise Clicks" campaign held it back in this instance. Mobile gaming and apps are mature and competitive verticals. At the same time many regions still hold strong potential for significant growth in the coming years. LATAM is one of such regions; particularly within the mobile sector (including mobile gaming, non-gaming apps, and the overall mobile industry). In the last months I had a lot of discussions around that region. Since a lot of data points about mobile technology, gaming, and apps are scattered across various places, I decided to compile them (similar to how I approached the mobile, gaming non-gaming in previous posts in iOS, Africa, India, gaming overall).
