Galería Espacio Continuo

Espacio Continuo takes as reference the concerns that motivated plastic explorations in Latin American modern art, finding conjunctures with contemporary practices. Being aware of the legacy of modern art, we intend to explore its continuity and its direct or indirect behavior in current artistic practices. Finding exercises that juxtapose cross-cutting questions, we invite the viewer to find conductive threads about artistic research that have common starting points. We want to become a moderating space for these explorations that strengthen encounters, creating dialogues between past and present. From a previous program (La Central) that gave visibility to young local artists at fairs such as Basel Miami and Frieze London, Espacio Continuo now addresses the diffusion of local artists of medium and long history. Espacio Continuo has a venue exhibiting represented artists as well as curated entities and the private collection. It is located in Quinta Camacho a neighborhood known by his classical architecture, in a house from 1960 where art and architecture cohabit in the same space.
