What a wonderful week in Lima, Peru hosted by Universidad del Pacífico (PE) thank you Patricia Larios-Francia for the strong support and the ISO TC 279 - Innovation Management secretariat Johan CLAIRE, Petra Sevcikova, Groupe AFNOR, and Monica Ibido
The work in the TC progressed very well, as part of the Swedish delegation with Magnus Karlsson and Johan Grundström Eriksson we contributed throughout the week to important work for further strengthening of the profession of innovation management. Particular thanks to Charlie Tuxworth for excellent convening with the work on ISO 56011 Competency Framework for Innovation Management, wonderful to be working with the excellent team Eoin Flavin, Guillermo Granados Ruiz, Laszlo Szemelyi, Audrey Cassen, Victoria Milne, Cesara Pasini to only mention some!
I would also like to thank Fan Zhang, Harlan Bennett, Victoria Milne for our work in the advisory group for communiation and engagement, it was great to host the case sharing session and get excellent insights from, Johan Claire, Hiroyuki Ozaki, Rick Fernandez, Johan Grundström Eriksson and Marco Gorini.
Finally on Thursday we had the great honor to participate in the international forum for the publication of ISO 56001:2024 Innovation Management System - Requirements, Innovación en el ADN empresarial hosted by Universidad del Pacífico and curated excellently by Patricia Larios.
It was delightful to see the interest and efforts of the Peruvian innovation ecosystem, Ministerio de la Producción del Perú, and the contributions from the international innovation management community.
We got fantastic insights into systematic innovation management from Alan Zettelmann, Sara Goldberg, Alice de Casanove, and key updates from the WIPO Global Innovation Index from Marco M. Alemán.
There was an excellent panel on innovation in the business sector in South America, with Patricia Larios, Tamiko Hasegawa, Javier Cortez, Gino Ponte and Marcelo Grabois
Magnus made a great presentation on building competences and assessing capabilities for innovation efforts. We have come a long way and the launch of ISO 56001 is just the start.
The importance of the ISO 56001 was recognized by Sergio Mujica Secretary General ISO - International Organization for Standardization.
The ISO Excellence Award was presented to Magnus Karlsson, Peter Merrill and Andrew Stanton.
We had great insights on OKI's innovation management system by Kei Kato.
