Here it is: the final recap of my recent adventure at Baidu World 2024, an annual Baidu’s flagship conference in Shanghai, a remarkable event that never fails to impress, especially after attending for several years. AI was prominently featured throughout the event, with Baidu’s solutions showcasing an “AI-native” approach across various product and services. Amidst the wealth of information and launches like text-to-image tech iRAG, zero-code tool Miaoda and the super cool Xiaodu AI glasses, which you might have read about from other main-stream media coverage, I had managed to nail down 3 products in the exhibition area which I will feature individually on each video over the next 3 days. The first one is iCube. iCube utilizes AI to analyze retina images, detecting over 18 eye diseases. It transforms 2D scans into detailed 3D visuals and automatically generates reports, eliminating the need for immediate doctor involvement.
