Come join our team! A receiver handles the receiving of produce items in the backroom of the store and ensures that the shipments are inspected, sorted, and stored.
The receiver also maintains what products need to be stocked on the shelves as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: Greet and build rapport with vendors.
Display a friendly and outgoing attitude through good eye contact and body language.
Respond to employees'/customers' questions in an effective manner.
Receive shipments, examines and inspect all products for quality.
Fill orders by stocking items from the warehouse and stock shelves as needed with product from the warehouse.
Work with management team to coordinate and facilitate shipment placement.
Document all overages, damages, and shortage.
Communicate with truck delivery drivers on specific location for proper and safe delivery.
Processing returns/credits for incorrect or unsatisfactory items.
Basic department cleaning upkeep.
Use handheld technology for scanning items.
Follow safety and sanitation procedures to ensure quality service and products for our customers.
Operate power equipment to move heavy material like fork trucks and/or pallet jacks.
Baler use may be required but only if you are 18 years of age or older with the proper training.
Respond promptly and courteously to customer needs.
May perform other duties as assigned or required.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum one year experience working receiving Grocery retail background preferred Forklift certification or ability to obtain PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK CONDITIONS: The physical demands and work conditions below represent those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Some requirements may be modified to accommodate individuals with disabilities: WALKING: Continuously, throughout the day, while moving about the store and obtaining product from the warehouse.
STANDING: Continuously, throughout the shift while stocking and facing product.
LIFTING: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
and occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.

Pay Scale $20.
The pay scale above is the salary or hourly wage range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position.
Within this range, individual pay is determined by location and other factors including, but not limited to, specific skills, relevant work experience, and relevant education and/or training.
This information is provided to applicants in accordance with California Labor Code § 432.
3 and state and local minimum wage standards.
