KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate to join our Trade and Customs practice.
Responsibilities: Support clients with U.
S.
domestic preference regulations (for example, Buy America, Buy American Act, Inflation Reduction Action Domestic Content Bonus Credit, and more), including conducting country of origin / substantial transformation analyses Perform domestic content calculations on product bills of material and/or project equipment lists and support clients with solicitation of suppliers for domestic content and country of origin certifications Research U.
S.
and international import and export trade matters, and provide written advice to clients, in a variety of industries, on import and export matters Formulate creative ideas for identifying and delivering trade savings and compliance opportunities Aid in the development and training of team members Assist in the delivery of multiple client engagements on time and within budget; maintain active communication with clients in an effort to manage expectations and satisfaction Qualifications: Minimum three years of recent import/export experience in the field of trade and customs as a customs attorney, customs broker, U.
S.
Customs auditor, or import specialist, which will include experience in regulatory interpretation and implementation, U.
S.
domestic preference regulations (for example, Buy America, Buy American Act, and more), country of origin determinations, The Harmonized Tariff Schedule, customs federal regulations, USMCA (for example, bills of material qualification), entry processes, valuation, and informed compliance methods Bachelor's degree, J.
D.

in taxation, and/or Master’s in taxation (MST) from an accredited college/university Previous experience in a tax or advisory services firm, corporation, or trade law firm Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Access, and solid project management skills Strong interpersonal skills, good written and verbal communication/presentation skills Ability to travel both domestically and internationally KPMG complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying salary ranges.
