🌐 With the support of the Supreme People’s Court of the People’s Republic of China (SPC), the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center and the Sichuan High People’s Court signed a Cooperation Agreement on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) in the area of Intellectual Property (IP).   International IP cases pending before the Sichuan High People’s Court, the Intermediate People’s Courts of Sichuan Province as well as the Primary People’s Courts of Sichuan Province with jurisdiction over IP civil cases can now be referred to WIPO Mediation, which will be administered by the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Shanghai Service. #wipo #wipoCenter #wipoADR #intellectualProperty #mediation #china

🤝Trademark Mediation Case successfully settles under WIPO-Singapore ASEAN Mediation Programme (AMP) We are pleased to announce the successful resolution of a recent trademark dispute mediated by the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center under the WIPO-Singapore ASEAN Mediation Programme (AMP). This case, which took place at the WIPO Singapore Office, involved two Singapore-based companies in the health and wellness sector. After a rigorous fifteen-hour session, a mutually acceptable settlement was achieved. 💬 Lawyers for one Party shared: "The success of the mediation is largely attributable to the skill and dedication of the mediator, Mr Jonathan Choo… he facilitated a deeper understanding of each side’s position, which was instrumental in fostering constructive dialogue and guiding the parties towards a mutually agreeable solution ... Ultimately, the mediation resulted in an outcome reflecting both parties’ strong commitment to an amicable resolution. Earlier this week, SAPI members had a unique opportunity to explore the role of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) in addressing complex issues in life sciences, thanks to an exclusive event co-hosted with the World Intellectual Property Organization – WIPO and its WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center. Our members heard directly from WIPO’s experts on how ADR can be effectively applied in the life sciences sector to address challenges such as licensing agreements, patent disputes, R&D collaborations, and more.
