Earlier today, SheTrades HubZA hosted a roundtable to spotlight the International Trade Centre’s (ITC) work through the SheTrades Hub, facilitated by the Small Enterprise Development and Finance Agency (SEDFA).
Held at the Menlyn Boutique Hotel in Pretoria, the roundtable with SheTrades HubZA brought together beneficiaries to share their successes and highlight the impact of their participation in trade missions to Dubai and Mauritius, along with six months of mentorship.
Local businesses, global impact
The programme has had a transformative impact on its beneficiaries, empowering them to expand their operations and access international markets.
Businesses like Bokamoso Foods, Browns Group, and Setsong Tea Crafters have grown significantly, securing export deals to Denmark, the UK, the US, and Botswana. Marshalls Traditional Healthcare and Colleen’s Handmade Sauces have also made strides, with exports to Mauritius, the US, and the UAE.
These success stories highlight the programme’s role in fostering global trade opportunities and driving sustainable growth for South African women entrepreneurs.
