Important Update for Cryptocurrency Advertisers in Switzerland!  Google is tightening its rules on cryptocurrency ads, effective 20th September. What’s Changing? Crypto Exchanges & Wallets: Ads for cryptocurrency exchanges and software wallets can only run if the advertiser is licensed by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA (FINMA) and complies with local regulations. Hardware Wallets: Ads are allowed, but only for products solely used for storage, not for buying, selling, or trading assets. Why It Matters: Switzerland remains a major hub for crypto businesses. Staying compliant with Google’s updated policies is crucial to avoid market disruptions and maintain a competitive edge. Advertisers must obtain certification from Google to ensure compliance with both their standards and local regulations. Dear Swiss brands... In an ideal world, your social campaigns will have a mix of DE, FR, IT, and EN. The reality is, a lot of businesses here fail to engage a significant portion of potential customers, because they're not creating content in English 😳. 45% of the Swiss population regularly use English, making it the top non-national language here (SWI swissinfo.ch ). Nearly 30% of the people living here are non-Swiss German speaking expats. That's a lot of people you're excluding 🤯 purely bc they don't understand what you're selling! ⚡️⚡️Julius Baer Bank may buy EFG.   Julius Baer is considering buying Swiss private bank EFG International AG, according to Bloomberg. Bank Julius Baer completed preliminary merger agreements with EFG last week. EFG shares rose 1.2% on Friday, valuing the bank at 3.8 Swiss francs ($4.2 billion). The deal between the two banks will continue a transformation of the Swiss financial industry that began last year when the country's largest bank, UBS Group AG, bought rival Credit Suisse. 🤐Representatives of banks Julius Baer and EFG declined to comment. ☝️ Let us remind you that the largest shareholder of EFG is the family of billionaire Latsis, which made a fortune in Greek shipping. EFG's other major shareholders are Brazil's Banco BTG Pactual SA, with a stake of about 20%, and Boris Collardi, the former CEO of Julius Baer.   ❓💸Whether there will be a second major merger in the Swiss banking sector this year and what the result of the merger will be for clients is still difficult to say.
