How incredible is this program! We, as ICF coaches, all share a common commitment to continuous self-improvement. The challenge of accruing enough CCEUs every three years can be daunting. At times, we may choose a program based solely on the number of CCEUs it offers, rather than considering the true impact the program could have on our development. ACBC (Application Coaching for Business Coaches) is probably the program I completed in the last 18 years that has had the most significant impact on my coaching abilities and what I can offer to my clients. The only downside for me is not having received any CCEUs at that time 😁. The 40 CCEUs make me eager to experience it again 😂 If you're seeking a phenomenal coaching programme that will make a real difference and offers plenty of CCEUs, you should definitely consider exploring this opportunity. One crucial element of the #coachingapproach is the Expertise of Not Knowing. It is a concept highlighted by Buchinger (1998) that states that the #coach should not be seduced by the expectation of knowing the solution or working on quick solutions. Instead, they should consider #uncertainty as an integral part of the solution process. This approach can serve as a model for the client, relieving them of the need to know everything and helping them navigate complex situations without the pressure of having all the answers, fostering a more open and explorative problem-solving environment. What if you could see differently? When people ask me what coaching is, I often use Marcel Proust's quote to explain that coaching gives you new eyes. Coaching opens your eyes by creating self-awareness. Coaching lets you see the details of your situation by developing your curiosity. Coaching gives you new eyes by helping you reframe your thoughts and challenges. Coaching lets you see what you couldn't before, creating possibilities you never thought were possible. Coaching is a powerful tool for personal and professional growth. So, if you're feeling stuck, consider working with a coach to open your eyes and gain new perspectives. In a world overflowing with information, #knowledge is no longer the scarce resource; it’s the abundance. Yet, success remains elusive for many. Why? Because knowledge, without the awareness of #coaching, is like a treasure map without a compass. Coaches provide the strategic direction, the emotional support, and the accountability needed to transform raw knowledge into actionable #wisdom.

Why is challenging to create new long lasting #habits? Everyone has experienced at some point the saboteurs interfering with you taking the action that you know would serve you. Everyone has at least once tried a new routine to give up after a few days or weeks. 📍 Because self-sabotaging thoughts and behaviors keeps you on autopilot you have to keep repeating the inner work until you get to develop new #brain network that will sustain the #change you desire and make the process of taking a specific action smooth and familiar. In order to run this process, you first have to identify how your saboteurs keeps you in “comfort zone” (autopilot mode). Your “Avoider “might say: “What’s the rush. Tomorrow is another day.” Or maybe your “Super - Rational” saboteur could argue that:” I don’t have enough data and proof to make the choice and take the action.” If you feel that you need to “control” everything before taking action, maybe your saboteur will lie to you saying that: “There’s too much unknown on this path. I’m not sure I can control it once I step in”. What if your “Pleaser” wants to convince you that: “Taking this action will hurt someone’s feelings”? Your “Judge “might make you think that: “This current situation and circumstance is BAD. I can’t succeed in this environment”. ✅ You can overcome their lies and create a new habit by: ↳ recognizing when you are in "saboteur mode" and being able to stop  ↳  understanding and anticipating the way your saboteurs lie to you ↳  shifting intentionally to your sage perspective and rewire your brain ↳  boost your mental resilience How do you create & maintain #change in your life? #growthmindset #wellbeing #stressmanagement #mentallfitness

Imagine it is 2034 and the coaching community has accelerated climate and ecological action… What is different in the world of coaching compared to today? This is the workshop topic of the Climate Coaching Alliance session today with the JGSG (Joint Global Statement Group), a unique collaboration between 13 coaching, mentoring, supervision and coaching psychology professional bodies with a unified members of 300,000 professional worldwide. Ahead of the session I’ve been collecting my thoughts on this and have arrived at the following differences of where I would like to see the world of coaching in 2034: 🌻 How we define coaching has evolved to acknowledge that coaching is about being in service to the collective thriving of Earth - and all its inhabitants, human and more-than-human 🌻 The ethics underpinning coaching by all professional bodies make it explicit that if coaching is not in service to the collective thriving of Earth, then it is not ethical and against the very nature of coaching 🌻 There is not only greater cohesion between the coaching competencies as defined by different professional bodies but they have also evolved to include clear competencies about how to coach with and as nature and on behalf of Earth 🌻 Coaching as a profession is able to provide a compelling evidence-base of its impact on humanity and our collective transition to a truly sustainable future for all life in Earth. These points are integral to how I’ve thought about coaching for the last 15 years. As part of developing the NatureProcess coach training programme, I’ve redefined the ICF definition of coaching, I’ve built the ethics of who to coach into Earthself Community Interest Company’s governance model, identified key coaching competencies from coaching with and as nature and on behalf of Earth then integrated them into the ICF core competencies. It’s also integral to how I’ve designed Earthself as an organisation with a commitment to developing the evidence base within the coaching profession to advocate for economic systems change to a wellbeing economy – one where people and Earth are at the heart of all economic activity – and influence the policies and practices of the coaching profession embedded into its governance. Professor Peter Hawkins just presented on the Coaching Summit organized by ICF Switzerland about Systemic Team Coaching. An intriguing approach regarding the emerging need to coach the relationship, the interdependence, the communication and liaison of the parts instead of the parts themselves. Coaching the code instead of the message, in a way. A provoking thought that makes me wonder how coaches and coaching schools can better prepare to address these connecting pieces of the puzzle...
