It’s a simple, beautiful idea, really—a society built on mutual support and care. And as I thought about it, my mind wandered back to my own childhood, to memories of warm evenings spent with my grandparents, listening to stories of a world so different from mine. Their wisdom, humor, and love shaped me. But I wonder—who will care for them now? Who will look out for the next generation of elderly in our rapidly changing, fast-paced world? By 2050, nearly 17% of the world's elderly will be in #India—a population larger than most countries. In a culture that prides itself on respecting elders, perhaps it’s time we put action behind that sentiment. What if we had a similar “Time Bank” here, where we could “deposit” our time to support and care for the elderly around us? It’s not just about time—it’s about connection, empathy, and the simple human act of being there for someone. I’ve been exploring some ideas to bring this to life here in India.
