Smart technology for the tiniest chips. Electronic components like chips in phones and computers keep shrinking, making them harder to manufacture. Qnami, a Swiss company, developed a microscope made of synthetic diamond and powered by quantum sensing, to address this challenge. Global patent filings reached a new record high in 2023, according to WIPO's World Intellectual Property Indicators report: https://lnkd.in/etzU6mqm. Innovators around the world filed over 3.5 million patent applications in 2023, while industrial design filing activity grew by 2.8%.
