Thank you CMS Schweiz for this great event! We genuinely enjoyed the opportunity to meet all of you, visit the new (stunning) offices and reunite with the other swiss teams after some time has passed since our shared moot experience.
What cures #willemcvismootcourt post-moot blues? A blend of reminiscing, networking and a bit of legal tech. We had the pleasure of welcoming this year's successful mooties to celebrate their impressive achievements at the Post-Moot-Blues Apéro yesterday. The event opened with a tour of our brand-new offices, followed by an introduction from ex-mootie and associate Timo Walt. Our Dispute Resolution partner Niklaus Zaugg introduced the CMS-team and associate and ex-mootie Roxana Sharifi shared her insights on Artificial Intelligence in ICC Arbitration Emergency Arbitration. It was a fantastic opportunity to share experiences and welcome these emerging legal professionals to our community. #VisMoot #LegalCommunity #ArtificialIntelligence #DisputeResolution #NetworkingEvent #CMSlaw #Arbitration #EmergencyArbitration

Many thanks to Bayer for taking their time and welcoming us to their offices! After a delicious lunch with insightful and pleasant conversations with the legal team, we had the opportunity to present the Vis Moot Problem and to show through our (probably last) pleading what we have worked for over the past few months. We very much enjoyed the visit and it was a pleasure to meet all of you!

Vis Moot Team Basel hat dies direkt geteilt
What an experience! After months of intense work and little sleep, days full of writing and pleading, researching and teambuilding, the 31st Vis Moot journey came to an end. We are more than greatful for learning about the world of arbitration and international trade law in this very unique way, for the long lasting memories and for valuable new friendships. The last week in Vienna, with four pleadings of our further two duos comprising of Moritz Keiner & Chiara Nesci and Leonie Thommen & Laura Batinovic marked the end. Proudly we can share that we were awarded with an honourable mention for the Memorandum on behalf of Claimant as well as for the Memorandum on behalf of Respondent. With the aforementioned in mind, and to conclude, a huge thanks to everyone who was part of the Vis Moot 2023/24. Special thanks to our coaches Sofia Bonetti and Etienne Liechti, Ulrich Schroeter and the alumni network for the great support!

We are happy to share that we completed the Willem C. Vis East International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Hong Kong. Our pleaders Sofia Heim and Nils von Arb had great pleadings against Renmin University of China, Waseda University, NLU Delhi Vis East and Singapore Management University, and Nils von Arb received an Honourable Mention for Best Oral Advocate. Next to the competition, we had the pleasure to meet people from all around the world and explore the incredible city of Hong Kong. Many thanks to all who contributed to this unforgettable experience!
