ESDI brings ESA closer to Swiss innovators, enhancing collaboration across industries, academia, and startups. Switzerland Innovation Park Ost Board Chair Roland Ledergerber and CEO Hans Ebinger introduced the park’s strategic projects, key innovation hubs (Health, Sensors, Business) and its role in advancing Switzerland’s national innovation ecosystem. 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬: ▫ Fluorescent Sensors for Wound Monitoring: Empa has co-developed a liquid sensor that alerts for poor wound healing by glowing when glucose levels reach critical levels. ▫ Ionic Wind Technologies: A spin-off from Empa, this company secured funding to enhance air-cooling for electronics and data centers using solid-state cooling technology. ▫ IRPD: Presented the IMPACT 4530 Laser Beam Powder Bed Fusion machine, optimizing automation in metal part production. ▫ inspire AG Swiss innovation center for additive manufacturing (icams) , focusing on Selective Laser Sintering and Selective Laser Melting technologies.
