Why is it so hard to adopt new technologies, even when they promise a better future? The answer is… Inertia. It is defined as the tendency to resist change—whether in motion or mindset—inertia is what holds us back. As Shane Parrish explains in book ”Clear Thinking”, inertia is the "default" that keeps us tied to the status quo. Starting something new is hard. Stopping old habits is equally hard. The event brought together founders, investors, corporates, and ecosystem players in Bavaria—a hub of transformative discussions. 💬 Key insights from speakers: ▪️Maximilian Uebel from Boston Consulting Group (BCG) highlighted that Europe lost €400 billion in value over the last decade as startups chose to IPO in the U.S. 🇺🇸 “We need to allocate capital better. France’s Mistral shows exactly how Germany should invest to stay competitive.” ▪️Verena Pausder from Startup-Verband pointed out: “Germany has key strengths, but we do a lousy job of allocating capital.” Verena also called out the rise of the far right as a risk to progress and urged us to focus on finding solutions instead of problems. She emphasized the need to think as ONE Europe, harmonizing markets and legal frameworks, just like the U.S. does. ▪️Maximilian Schmidt, the Founder of KINEXON shared that founders who succeed bring persistence, agility, and flexibility to solve problems across industries.
