🌏 A climate fund managed by responsAbility has strengthened its partnership with Khan Bank, Mongolia’s largest financial institution, through a renewed financing facility of USD 15 million. This funding supports energy efficiency and renewable energy projects aimed at reducing CO₂ emissions in one of the world’s most climate-affected countries. Mongolia faces severe climate vulnerabilities, with rising temperatures and extreme pollution in its coal-reliant capital, Ulaanbaatar. Since 2021, this partnership has driven impactful projects, including energy-efficient equipment, innovative greenhouses, and building upgrades, significantly contributing to energy savings and CO₂ reduction across the country. Khan Bank, recognized at the 2024 Global Climate Partnership Award, continues to lead sustainable finance efforts in Mongolia.
