Without research, there can be no medical progress. And progress is urgently needed as long as people continue to die because there is no treatment for their disease. With a focus on immune-oncology, #MSD runs one of the world's largest clinical research programs, currently comprising more than 1600 clinical trials. We are proud to contribute to these research efforts in Switzerland, and we will continue to do all we can to move closer to our vision of a world where cancer isn’t just treated but cured. #inventingforlive

We are at the 6th #EuropeanCancerForum in Brussels, a platform where policymakers, patient organizations, and experts discuss the future of cancer care in Europe. The EU has made great progress in shaping cancer care policy, setting an example for how coordinated strategies can drive meaningful change. While cancer care in Switzerland is already very strong, there is still more to do. A National Cancer Strategy is essential to address critical priorities such as HPV elimination and the establishment of comprehensive cancer screening programs, ensuring equal access and standardized care across all cantons. We are committed to collaborating with partners to ensure these priorities are reflected in a future #NationalCancerPlan for #Switzerland, building on the progress made across Europe. #EuropeanCancerForum #CancerCare #NationalCancerStrategy #HPVElimination #ScreeningPrograms

Why is vaccination important for addressing antibiotic resistance? Vaccines can help limit the spread of antibiotic resistance. The global increase in disease caused by drug-resistant bacteria, due to overuse and misuse of antibiotics, is a major public health concern. These infections are harder and more expensive to treat, and recovery is not always guaranteed. Vaccinating humans and animals is a highly effective way to protect them from infections, reducing the need for antibiotics. Making better use of existing vaccines and developing new ones are crucial steps to combat antibiotic resistance and lower preventable illness and deaths. 👉 Find out more on this important topic: https://lnkd.in/draJ5ZVF
