NEW: Report outlines recommendations to effectively manage incidental pulmonary nodules The Lung Cancer Policy Network has published a new report 'Enhancing the earlier detection of lung cancer: effective management of incidental pulmonary nodules'. It outlines the impact optimal management of incidental pulmonary nodules (IPNs) can have on the earlier detection of lung cancer, and provides recommendations for policymakers to implement robust management strategies. NEWS: World-first urine test for lung cancer picks out ‘zombie’ cells Scientists in Cambridge have created a urine test that can detect some of the first signs of lung cancer, Cancer Research UK (CRUK) reports. 'The test, which identifies ‘zombie’ cells that can clear a path for cancers to emerge, is the first of its kind anywhere in the world. 'The researchers behind the technology, led by Professor Ljiljana Fruk and Dr Daniel Munoz Espin at the University of Cambridge, believe it could help doctors spot lung cancer at its very earliest stages.
