🌞 Oh! What an insightful afternoon and evening!
Michael Berthold, Benjamin Hemminger, Rosaria Silipo, Julian Bunzel, Lena Böcker and the rest of Team KNIME brought together KNIME users from across industries to explore data science, the impact and use of AI in data science and to share insight into the capabilities of KNIME at the recently concluded KNIME Data Hop Singapore 2024 event.
◉ Thank you for sharing the different possibilities (many that were new to me, at least) and for introducing some brilliant use cases from Grab (with Evan Choong (EMBA, CA, CIA, CISA) and Jamin Teo) as well as from ElectraNet Pty Ltd (with Frank Maio and Jérôme Treboux, Ph.D.). I look forward to some of our future offline exchange and interactions.
◉ I had the opportunity to share my thoughts on why now, more than ever, we need to focus on data and use it as a foundation for actionable insights, decision-making and for actions. It's an imperative for almost every industry now to manage and use data for effective outcomes. Thank you for inviting me to speak at the event Benjamin Hemminger and Lena Böcker.
◉ Thank you, Rosaria Silipo, for having me on stage with the educationists Ophelia Lim, Miow Ting Teo and Henry L. to discuss the future needs of the industry, especially from data science, computer science and informatics graduates; but also those from other faculties in general.
I truly believe that together with the hard technical skills, the core capabilities needed for the future include -
◆ to be #curious, #creative, and #collaborative,
◆ have the #courage to speak up and challenge the status quo
◆ a strong #ethical foundation to do good for oneself, the people around, and the society at large!
It was good to know that Republic Polytechnic Nanyang Polytechnic and Temasek Polytechnic all help their students develop holistically into future-ready workforce.
🌞 Overall, time well invested!
