✨ That’s a wrap for the 2024 HIV Vaccine Advocacy Academy in Windhoek, Namibia!     A total of 15 fellows and 5 faculty from 12 countries came together to discuss the importance of HIV vaccine R&D and gain related advocacy skills. While current prevention tools, like oral and long-acting injectable PrEP, offer promise, they alone are not enough to end the epidemic.     Today, more than ever, we need communities, researchers, policy makers and funders to come together to ensure HIV vaccine R&D remains a global priority.    This week has underscored that Africa’s scientists and advocates are pivotal in advancing the development of an affordable, effective and safe HIV vaccine! 🙌🏽💉    📷 Check out a few highlights from this week's academy!  #HIV #UniteToReachAll #AfricaLeads #HIVVAA
