🔥 The 5th edition of the DA Z - DIGITAL ARTS ZURICH festival has come to an end, and what an experience it was! We are honored to have been a part of this incredible partner event, where we co-hosted the full-day session “The AI Factor: Discover the Future of Creativity with Us.” It was a great pleasure to explore together the exciting and sometimes unexpected synergies between human creativity and generative AI. We are convinced that these synergies can open new possibilities in creative processes, positively impact society, and help us build a brighter future. We are happy to announce that Simon Husslein, co-founder of BEYOND.PLACE and professor of interior design at the HEAD – Genève, University of Art and Design, will be a speaker at GenAI Zürich’s session, “The AI Factor: Discover the Future of Creativity with Us”, at the DA Z - DIGITAL ARTS ZURICH conference! 🎙️ Talk title: “Meet Me Beyond – Utilizing AI for Spiritual Discoveries” Simon Husslein reveals how AI has been used to create and run the mixed reality installation "Meet Me Beyond – Part 1," currently on display inside Zurich's Wasserkirche as part of DA Z - DIGITAL ARTS ZURICH. In this work, created together with Arne Magold, procedural algorithms and artificial intelligence are used to unfold new perspectives on the interplay of spirituality and human consciousness. Personal AI-generated questions encourage self-reflection through a gesture-controlled interface, inviting visitors to enter into resonance with themselves and the "beyond." We are excited to announce that Denis Samuylov, co-organizer of GenAI Zürich and founder of SamuylovAI, will be speaking at the DA Z - DIGITAL ARTS ZURICH conference! 🎤 Talk Title: “Transforming Imagination: The Rise of Generative AI and Its Cultural Impact” Since the onset of the GenAI transformation, Denis has implemented several GenAI-powered chatbot and automation solutions that have helped businesses unlock new opportunities. While implementing such solutions, it is always important to balance efficiency gains with the ethical and privacy concerns that come with the use of AI. Both in business and art, there are numerous concerns about the use of GenAI: Will AI take my job? How can I prevent AI from stealing my identity? What is a fair use of AI? We are happy to announce that Anton Obukhov, Postdoctoral Researcher at ETH Zürich, will be a speaker at GenAI Zürich’s session, “The AI Factor: Discover the Future of Creativity with Us”, at the DA Z - DIGITAL ARTS ZURICH conference! 🎤 Talk title: “Beyond Astronaut on a Horse: Repurposing Text-to-Image Model” Anton Obukhov is an established researcher in the Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing Group at ETH Zurich. In his talk, Anton will explore innovative ways to use state-of-the art GenAI models for image generation. Currently, such models, especially the once released as open-source, have gained attention thanks to their incredible capabilities to generate high quality realistic images. Trained on vast datasets, these models are foundational, but can they do more than text-to-image generation? As an artistic researcher, he investigates the impact of artificial «intelligence» on self-perception, visual education and artistic practice.
