BEHIND THE INSANE PIZZA - EDITION 6 "Prosciutto e Funghi" The Prosciutto e Funghi is a true classic of Italian pizza tradition, beloved for its simplicity and perfectly balanced flavors. At FOX ZURICH, we take this iconic combination to the next level with our high-quality ingredients and artisanal touch. The "Prosciutto e Funghi" is served with our classic neapolitan dough. As a base we use san marzano tomatoes, basil, olive oil, salt and pepper. We add some pecorino, grana and fior di latte. We top it of with the fresh cut ham (swiss meat) and a lot of mushrooms. Before it goes into the oven at approximately 400 degrees we add some salt and some olive oil. This is another interplay of textures and flavors: the crisp crust, creamy cheese, juicy mushrooms, and tender prosciutto. At FOX ZURICH, we mastered the art of creating harmony between the saltiness of prosciutto, the umami of mushrooms, and the sweetness of our tomato base. BEHIND THE INSANE PIZZA - EDITION 5 "CRUDO E MASCARPONE" Another one of our customers' favorite. Today, we take a closer look at the "Crudo e Mascarpone". This delicious pizza takes the classic Margherita base and transforms it into an indulgent, elevated experience with the distinguished pizza dough and the premium toppings added after baking. The "Crudo e Mascarpone" is served with our hemp whole grain flour dough. As a base we use san marzano tomatoes, basil, olive oil, salt and pepper. We add some pecorino, grana and fior di latte. Before it goes into the oven at approximately 400 degrees we add some olive oil. The post-bake addition of Parma ham and mascarpone adds a fresh, creamy, and savory dimension, creating a harmony of hot and cold elements. Our 24 months aged Parma ham is cut into paper-thin slices and got that melt-in-your-mouth texture. This adds a salty, savory punch to the pizza without overpowering other ingredients. The mascarpone with its creamy, slightly sweet profile, balances the saltiness of the ham and the sharpness of the cheeses, adding a luxurious texture. The cool, creamy mascarpone melts slightly into the warm pizza, creating an irresistible visual and flavor contrast. BEHIND THE INSANE PIZZA - EDITION 3 "MARINARA" Actually, one of our customers' least favorite. Today, we take a closer look at the "Marinara", which is a testament to the beauty of simplicity. Despite having just a few ingredients, it’s one of the most iconic and beloved pizzas. The "Marinara" is all about letting the base ingredients shine. This is the pizza to truly understand FOX Zurich’s commitment to quality over quantity. The "Marinara" is served with our classic neapolitan dough. As a base we use san marzano tomatoes, basil, olive oil, salt and pepper. We add nothing but thinly sliced garlic before it goes into the oven at approximately 400 degrees. Out of the oven we add the right amount of oregano. Enjoy the boldness of the tomato, the warmth of the garlic, and the herbaceous kick from the oregano. The "Marinara" is a great choice for vegans, vegetarians, and purists. The nutty flavor profile of the hemp dough matches the toppings of the "diavola" perfectly. As a base we use san marzano tomatoes, basil, olive oil, salt and pepper. We add some pecorino, grana and fior di latte. We top it of with the fresh cut spicy sausage (ventricina). This is not only many customers favorite. WHAT AN INCREDIBLE FIRST WEEK! In just one week, we’ve received amazing feedback from our incredible clients. This week, we had the privilege of providing our catering services for a special event to a bank in the heart of Zurich, where we catered for around 300 people on a stunning rooftop venue. The smiles, the laughs, and the love for our pizza were unforgettable! And as a cherry on top, we’ve already secured a catering booking for an event later this month.
