Check out the latest DTM mobility assessment report from Uzbekistan. Amongst 1,168 Uzbek migrant workers, 42% reported having completed only lower secondary education, while 30% cited post-secondary non-tertiary education as their highest level of educational attainment. Over half of the respondents (56%) identified themselves as the primary breadwinners for their families. The average monthly income of respondents was USD 528, with male respondents earning slightly above the average (USD 544) and female respondents earning below the average (USD 415). A significant majority (80%) stated that the remittances they send to Uzbekistan are the main source of income for their families. Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM), part of the Global Data Institute at IOM - UN Migration, implements the International Migrant Worker Survey. This snapshot provides extract from International Migrant Worker Survey (Round 4) conducted by the Mobility Tracking Matrix (MTM) in Kazakhstan during April - May 2024 with a focus on Uzbek nationals working in Kazakhstan. The Mobility Tracking Matrix (MTM) is a system that tracks and monitors population mobility. MTM is adapted to the context in Central Asia based on IOM’s Global Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) methodology.
