 🎉 We are still proud to have won an ISPO Award for «Best Product – Apparel Edition» with our STITCHLOCK dissolving sewing thread and our partners Grupo Impetus, OceanSafe and Colorifix. According to Circular Economy Expert Dominik Fuss, who accompanied the project, it’s the extraordinary fusion of these technologies that sets «Teempo» apart. It’s a game-changer for the circular economy: reducing CO2 emissions, avoiding microplastics, and building a fully circular supply chain. «The ecological ambition is particularly noteworthy», says Dominik Fuss who works on recycling projects for the Impetus Group. Designed and manufactured by the Portuguese Group, «Teempo» combines «naNea» yarn from Swiss company OceanSafe with Colorifix microbial dyes and our STITCHLOCK dissolvable sewing thread. «Teempo» was recognised for the «extraordinary combination of four outstanding innovations» – each of which would have deserved an award on its own, according to the expert. However, it is the fusion of the individual components that makes the product a «white paper for implementation in other brands». The implementation of these ideas in a single, production-ready product is «almost a bit over-engineered from an ecological point of view, but it makes perfect sense», laughs the expert. After all, the project aims to reduce CO2 emissions, avoid microplastics and build a circular economy. All these innovations have a common goal and have been bundled into a product that can now be implemented directly. Partnerships between different brands and innovators are a promising approach to a more sustainable future. Yesterday, we had the great opportunity to introduce our innovative dissolving sewing thread, STITCHLOCK, to professionals from the Swiss textile industry for the first time at the Innovation Day organized by Swiss Textiles. The response was outstanding, the discussions incredibly valuable and the questions from the experts specific. The event also demonstrated the Swiss textile sector's commitment to sustainability and circularity. We witnessed impressive developments in new fibres and materials, repair solutions, robotics for production and plans for a large Swiss recycling plant show that innovation is flourishing in Switzerland.
