🔴🔴 Digital education relies on Learning Management Systems, but are we unlocking their full potential? Learning Management Systems (LMS) are central to education, managing classes, tracking attendance, and providing access to digital content. Yet, their full transformative potential remains largely untapped. 🌍📚 As noted in the 𝗢𝗘𝗖𝗗 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 2023, many LMS are not #interoperable with national student information systems, forcing schools to manually input data. This inefficiency limits the actionable insights that could enhance education outcomes. 📊 Governments are increasingly digitising tools for learning and assessments, but progress is uneven. For example, while #Finland leads in digitising high-stakes exams, often with #offline technology, most countries lag behind. LMS could play a pivotal role in reimagining assessments and delivering real-time, personalised learning opportunities. 🚀 The report highlights the need for robust digital ecosystems that integrate systems, tools, and teacher support. Strategic alignment between governments, institutions, and technology providers is essential to bridge gaps in interoperability and functionality. 🌟 At Beekee, we bring the world's leading LMS to learners everywhere, ensuring operational timelines and reducing costs, all without needing internet access or grip power. 🔴🔴 What is the secret to overcoming systemic challenges in education? Collaboration. #EducationReform is not the responsibility of one sector or leader—it is a collective mission requiring contributions from all parts of society. The 2024/5 #GlobalEducationMonitoringReport, authored by an independent team hosted by UNESCO, highlights the transformative power of cross-sector collaboration in education. 🌍 Leadership in education extends beyond principals and policymakers. Researchers, unions, civil society, media, and political leaders all play critical roles in shaping inclusive and equitable systems. Their efforts must align to achieve meaningful reform. 🏫 Community groups and civil society organisations (CSOs) are instrumental in tailoring policies to local needs. By involving parents, students, and local leaders, reforms can address diverse challenges and ensure inclusivity. 📦 #NGOs, often at the forefront of education in crisis zones, bring technical expertise and logistical capabilities. Partnerships with governments and multilateral organisations bridge gaps in access to quality education. 💻 The private sector’s contributions—whether through technology, infrastructure, or funding—are increasingly recognised. Collaborative initiatives have introduced solutions where public budgets fall short, especially in advancing digital learning. #Offlinecompatible tools enable education to reach remote learners. 🤝 Education ministers and policymakers must lead coalitions to unite diverse stakeholders behind a shared vision, sustaining reform agendas that prioritise equity and quality. ✨ Case studies in the GEM report highlight progress driven by partnerships. Challenges persist, but structured frameworks, clear roles, and transparency are key to making collaboration work. It is essential for meeting Sustainable Development Goal 4—ensuring inclusive, quality education for all. 💡 Beekee plays a vital role as a corporate innovator by bringing digital learning to learners instead of moving learners to digital resources. Our offline-compatible tools reduce costs, keep learners engaged, and ensure education reaches those in the most remote locations. 𝗕𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗲𝗲@𝗦𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗵 (also litterally...❄️✨) Slush 2024 here in #Helsinki is over. Some interesting points I noted: - If you don't know what Slush is (1): Slush is a slurry mixture of snow and water. See 📸 1 with the #BeekeeBox. - If you don't yet know what Slush is (2): it's essentially a meeting factory, facilitating meetings between founders and investors. See the "134" 📸, where I am standing in the main meeting area, which has 300 or so meeting tables. - 💡 Think about it: these meeting tables were fully booked most of the time. With half hourly meeting slots and roughly 9 active hours for two days, that's roughly 10'000 tablemeetings. But add to that the industrial-size 1-1 meeting point (if you couldn't get a numbered table), other agreed meeting places, miles of benched lunch tables, events at the various booths, the long coffee queue at the Italian pavilion, and other chance encounters, and I would estimate more that there were than 50'000 interactions where entrepreneurs and investors sort through possible futures. - 🌱 Startups make useful things. I actually did not see a single startup whose purpose was not to make the world more productive, healthier, cleaner, smarter or just generally better, at least in theory. - 👥 There were 13'000 participants. Interestingly I have been told that 1. this number was reduced from 15'000 because it was too much for Helsinki 2. the venue is purposely not enormous, to favour encounters. Indeed it can get crowded at times. - Slush cultivates a dim lighting ambience 🌓. No comment, but see the pictures. - There are of course lots of side events, on and off the venue 🌍. I went to InvestED, organised by University of Helsinki's Education Hub, to a reception and a breakfast organised by the Embassy of Switzerland in Finland and swisstech (both of which we thank very much for their support), and to a few presentations. One thing which is clear is that Finland takes a big interest in #education. - The subject of #education is also of keen interest to entrepreneurial families, as abundantly transpired in my various conversations 🎓. - I pitched Beekee twice 💼 on the swisstech pavilion. While I had 3 minutes, I chose to not use any slides, just me and a #BeekeeBox. Would you have done the same? In any case, Slush is a great event. If you are a founder or investor, try it 🚀!

𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘵𝘰 𝘌𝘹𝘱𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘐𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘞𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘦 𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘙𝘰𝘰𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘎𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘢? 🇨🇭 On Monday, I had the honor of speaking at the 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤. Sharing the stage with inspiring figures like Minister Delphine Bachmann and Vice-Rector of the University of Geneva, Sébastien Castelltort, I reflected on Beekee's entrepreneurial journey and the unique advantages of being based in Geneva. During the panel discussion, the question was: "How can you expand internationally while staying rooted in Geneva?" Here's what I shared: - 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐚 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐁𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐞𝐞. The presence of numerous International Organizations, NGOs, and UN headquarters gives us direct access to our partners and clients, enabling valuable, real-time feedback. - 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐚 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐤𝐞𝐲. Many of our clients visit us when attending international events here, making the city a natural hub for connection and growth. - The city's 𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐦 enriches our perspective and aligns perfectly with our mission of fostering education globally in diverse, low-resource environments. - 𝐒𝐰𝐢𝐬𝐬 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐧𝐞𝐮𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 resonate deeply with our work. They reinforce the trust and credibility that are so essential when building relationships in the humanitarian and education sectors. Thank you to Unitec Technology Transfer Office for the invitation and to FER Genève for hosting such an impactful event. Events like this remind us why Geneva is not just our home but the cornerstone of our global ambitions. It was also a pleasure to share the stage with two other inspiring startups: Svetlana Kiseleva, co-founder of Plair SA, and Oumar Touré Franzen, co-founder of The Spot Geneva and manager of Varnish La Piscine. #Entrepreneurship #Geneva #Innovation #AidTech #EdTech #GlobalImpact #Beekee
