Growing up in Alaska, he spent his youth skating on frozen lakes, and that passion carried him through an impressive professional career spanning North America and Switzerland. Over the years, Eric represented teams like Geneva, Lugano, and Lausanne, even earning time with the Swiss National Team. 🇨🇭 However, his playing career was cut short in 2018 due to a concussion—an experience that deeply shaped his drive to improve player safety. After retiring from professional hockey, Eric continued his involvement in the sport as a coach. He has worked with U20 teams, assisted the U18 Swiss National Team, and currently serves as a player development coach for the pro team in Geneva. His coaching background brings invaluable insights to Bearmind, as he knows firsthand the challenges both players and staff face when it comes to concussion management.✅ 💡Interesting fact—Alongside his lifelong commitment to hockey, Eric is also an accomplished artist, with a passion for painting and designing furniture. His creativity and hands-on approach carry through both on and off the ice. We’re excited to have Eric join the Bearmind team. His professional journey includes over a decade with the Montreal Canadiens and the NHL in both business and hockey operations and serving as CEO of the Montreal Alouettes. He also made a lasting impact as Athletic Director at Concordia University, where he championed a student-athlete-centric culture. 🙌🏼 In recent years, Patrick has focused on supporting entrepreneurs and technologies that leverage sports to solve real-world challenges—a vision perfectly aligned with Bearmind’s mission.
