Our Industrial Transformation team was busy at BE 5.0 Salon Industries du Futur à Mulhouse (Grand Est) this week 🌟 In addition to having a booth in the exhibition hall focusing on our i4Challenge accelerator program, we brought together a panel of industry experts to discuss how SMEs can join forces with startups to innovate and unlock growth opportunities. Thank you to Pascal Weber, Yvan Jacquat, Vincent ROTH, Emmanuel ESTEVES and Claude Maitre for taking part in the panel discussion, and to Christophe Walch for the expert moderation! After the panel discussion, five members of our current i4Challenge program cohort pitched their idea to the audience, showcasing the great projects that we are supporting and accompanying. Last night, our team at the Switzerland Innovation Park Basel Area hosted the first edition of their new event series: The Magnet 🌟 Held on our Main Campus in Allschwil, we brought together a panel of seasoned industry experts to discuss a topic that is very much on the mind of many people driving innovation in the life sciences right now: How can we set realistic expectations for AI’s role in facilitating drug discovery and development? 🤔 Thank you to Sai Reddy, Elizabeth Wood, James Gallagher and Joern-Peter Halle for sharing their insights into this topic, and giving the packed room a new perspective on how AI is fundamentally changing how the life science industry can and will bring new treatments to patients. Yesterday, our teams from DayOne - Healthcare Innovation and Switzerland Innovation Park Basel Area came together for a successful Pitch-nic 🎤   Held at Novartis Campus, the pitching event brought together residents from the Switzerland Innovation Park and startups from the Innovation Booster Digital Health Nation led by Yana Yoncheva and DayOne Tech led by Florian Saner programs to present their innovative solutions. The event went beyond showcasing technology, offering a platform for collaboration and networking. It was a valuable opportunity for connecting inspiring innovators, sparking conversations, and strengthening the life sciences ecosystem in the region. Our team at the Switzerland Innovation Park Basel Area really enjoyed taking part in this year's National Future Day 😊 On this day, organizations around Switzerland arouse interest in their industries among children and young people, with the hope of inspiring the next generation of talent 🌟 We opened our shared labs and Innovation Lounge to curious young minds, giving them a chance to dive into the world of science and technology - for example, by showing them how to extract DNA from a tomato. Our Main Campus resident Arcondis Group hosted a workshop titled "What do you want to do when you grow up?", while Johnson & Johnson ran a playful session where the students could learn how a drug finds its way from the initial idea to the patient.
