*Project Manager/Estimator Job Description*
The project manager/Estimator will be responsible for the overall construction of assigned projects.
The successful candidate must possess the knowledge, experience, and confidence to engage and professionally interact with employees, sub-contractors and clients while successfully directing the crew leaders and laborers.
Candidate must be professional, personable, willing to train and work alongside the crew when necessary.
The Project Manager/ Estimator will work closely with and report to the company owner.
*Responsibilities*
* Analyzing required documents, blueprints, and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the project.
* Creating material, cost and labor estimates for the project or service.
* Coordinating team members and sub-contractors to assure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.
* Meeting with project team members, contractors, subcontractors, vendors to identify and resolve issues daily.
* Approving project materials and ensuring that they adhere to quality standards.
* Preparing status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information.
* Establishing effective project communication plans and ensuring their execution.
* Facilitating change requests to ensure that all parties are informed of the impacts on schedule and budget.
* Coordinating the development of user manuals, training materials, and other documents as needed to enable successful implementation and turnover of the process or system to the clients.
* Coordination of personnel to complete projects on time.
And the ability and willingness to train and mentor others while using leadership skills.
* Complete work according to contract documents, schedule, and budget.
* Identifying and developing new opportunities with clients.
* Managing customer satisfaction within the project transition period.
* Conducting post-project evaluation and identifying successful and unsuccessful project elements.
*Safety:*
* Ensure equipment is in good working order.
Enact appropriate preventative maintenance.
Log equipment usage and maintenance cycles
* Follows policies and OSHA regulations including fall protection plan, confined space, and any other project or site-specific safety requirements of the job.
* Wear and inspect proper PPE’s, including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and potential use of safety equipment including steel toed boots and safety harnesses when needed.
* Complies with company safety rules and monitors the crew to ensure correct methods of construction and strict adherence to safety rules and requirements.
* Takes responsibility for correcting unsafe working conditions.
*Qualifications:*
* 10-12 years proven experience in project management.
* Ability to lead project teams of various sizes and see them through to completion.
* Strong understanding of formal project management methodologies.
* exceptional time management skills.
* Experience overseeing a construction project.
* Budget management experience.
* The salary base is $60k-$80k based on experience.
