This position is concerned primarily with the development, implementation, and revision of manufacturing processes, procedures, and work instructions.
Successful candidate must be effective in communicating and working with internal stakeholders including (but not limited to): quality assurance, assembly operators, shop floor leads, industrial engineers, design engineers, and production supervisors.
Successful candidate also must be proficient in basic computer use, including (but not limited to): Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Web navigation and comfortable learning role-specific software (e.
g.
SAP, Compass, eView, Corel Draw).
Experience with Compass and/or eView is highly desired.
This role will be performed ONSITE at our Collins Aerospace location in Cedar Rapids, IA.
May be eligible for relocation Primary Responsibilities: Works under general supervision in the physical creation of Collins Aerospace products or the activities associated with the operation of Collins Aerospace facilities.
Works in the processing operations of a plant performing more involved tasks and procedures according to existing procedures.
May assist in adapting new procedures or techniques.
May assist in orienting, training, checking and assigned work to other Manufacturing / Operations support employees.
Refer problems to leader/supervisor as appropriate to resolve difficulties.
Qualifications/ Experience Needed: Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience The ability to obtain and maintain a U.
S.
government issued security clearance is required U.
S.
citizenship is required, as only U.
S.
citizens are eligible for a security clearance Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.
