Customer Service Specialist

Job Overview/Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a New Account/Customer Service Specialist.
New Account Representative is a position that includes primary duties of answering Incoming phone calls, greeting and directing customers, answer customers questions and explaining bank deposit accounts and common bank services, cross selling as applicable.
Further, the position includes interviewing customers to obtain information needed for opening accounts according to applicable regulatory requirements, compiling the information to enter computer systems, creating necessary forms and documents to open accounts, and disclosing details professionally and accurately with the customer.
A Customer Service Specialist may also assist in the Teller/Cash Handling area of the bank.
Whether a customer is calling or visiting the bank, they will typically speak and meet with a member of the New Account/CSR/Retail Banking team first.
This team shoulders the responsibilities of projecting the bank's services and products in a way that creates a positive customer experience.
In addition, staff in the Customer Service areas of the bank must possess a nonstop professional attitude and outward appearance with an unshakeable energetic personality that is consistent even when dealing with customers where the interaction is unpleasant or upsetting.
