Here we present a collection of success stories which perfectly encapsulate what it means to be socially responsible within the corporate realm. Of course, doing more than influencing those in their sectors, our awardees are fine examples of how to conduct oneself to align with what is morally correct, just, and entirely ethical.

Positively influencing communities within society, and the planet in general, our selection of deeply experienced and devoted individuals consistently look to bring incredible change.

On the eve of the announcement, Awards Coordinator Kaven Cooper said: “The CSR Excellence Awards are all about celebrating those who are committed to developing and utilising important CSR concepts for their business endeavours, every day. Forever adapting to market fluctuations, and the ever-evolving needs of society, our winners stand tall as they pursue excellence. I’m sure we’ll see them flourish further as their presence continues to grow and deepen. A well deserved congratulations, and all the best for the years to come.”

The Canadian Association for Disabled Skiing (CADS) is a volunteer-based organization. Our main objective is to promote adaptive skiing and snowboarding by teaching people with disabilities how to ski or snowboard using adaptive skills and equipment tailored to their needs. Students learn to ski or snowboard using adaptive equipment and strategies that follow CSIA and CASI progression and skill development. Ultimately, our goal is to help our students become proficient enough to ski or board with family and friends on their own time! Lessons are taught by volunteer instructors who have completed the CADS training program; many are also certified CADS, CSIA or CASI instructors. Most new students receive one-on-one instruction however, over time, many move on to small group instruction as their skills progress. For our advanced students, mountain day trips, racing and ski club opportunities are also available (scroll below for more information). We take great care in the student-instructor matching process to ensure that each student receives the individual attention they need to enjoy their skiing or snowboarding experience and to have fun while learning these skills. The CADS Calgary program is registered with the Canadian Ski Instructor’s Alliance (CSIA), Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors (CASI).
