Recently, I took on a challenge to present an #SEO Audit to a team of marketing leaders at a renowned agency in Toronto. The Task: Analyze the provided URL and create a presentation, outlining SEO recommendations that would most positively impact online visibility and business goals- to be completed in under 2 hours! ⏳️ The Challenge: Keeping the PPT concise (10 slides more or less). But the thing was, all the SEO audits I have done for clients over the years typically involved in-depth reporting (20 slides or more), but what I learned during this challenge was that it's the way you communicate the information that matters more. The Learnings: 1. Clients love a story. Learn how to tell a story around their data! ✅️ 2. In initial client & team meetings, communication is far more important than covering all the data, even though you as an SEO, you might find it particular to mention a certain thing or two. However, focusing on the low-hanging fruits and key points that can create a major impact will be far more convincing and gets the strategy idea across easily. A brief session on making briefs #BIPOC inclusive! Attended my first Account Planning Group of Canada - APG Canada & POCAM - People of Colour in Advertising & Marketing's BIPOC Hackathon yesterday and had an amazing and insightful evening. For those who missed it, here are the top 5 takeaways from Beyond Tropes, Tokenism and Talk: 1. The definition of a Canadian is changing: #BIPOC demographics will shape and redefine who a Canadian consumer is. Brands and agencies need to wake up and catch up. 2. It all starts with the brief: Be it client, research, creative or media brief, inclusivity shouldn't be an afterthought. It should be considered from the get-go. 3. The ones in charge: Both the client side and the agency side need to take the onus to infuse inclusivity way upstream instead of just the casting at the end. 4. Start at home: The best people to connect a brand with its POC consumers are POC themselves. Across the board, more #BIPOC talent should be given not just a seat at the table but a comfortable one where they can bring diverse perspectives and take up leadership. 5. Skip FOMO: The only way for Advertising and Marketing to be able to adapt to the diverse, new, and future average Canadian is to start a conversation on changing consumer demographics and inclusivity, now. It was an absolute delight to meet Joycelyn E. David and Gavin Barrett [ गैविन बैरिट ] in person. Super proud to see Manasi Damle's group and other teams be rockstars and deliver adaptable solutions to bridging the gap between BIPOC weak and BIPOC woke.

What does riding a motorcycle have to do with corporate life? More than you think. I recently started learning to ride my motorcycle in Canada, and the fear was real. Every time I got on it, I questioned my ability. But I kept going. Why? Because the only way to overcome fear is to face it. We face uncomfortable situations at work all the time. Whether it’s taking on a challenging project or speaking up in a meeting, fear can be paralyzing. But If you push through, you gain confidence, skill, and growth. Here’s some tips that that work for me: 💡 The 5-Second Rule: When fear creeps in, count down from 5 and take immediate action. This simple technique helps push past hesitation and move forward. 💡 Challenge Negative Thoughts: Whenever you catch myself doubting your abilities, pause and question those negative thoughts. Replace them with more positive, balanced perspectives based on past successes. Riding taught me that fear is temporary, but the lessons you learn by pushing past it last forever. Finally starting a new journey with The Marcom Avenue Excited for new adventures, creativity, strategies, ideations, campaigns, and personal growth. Looking forward to contributing my bit. After years of being associated with marketing agencies, I’ve gained confidence and expertise. However, during my first interview round with Nikhil Sharda I felt nervous and underconfident. Somehow, I managed to get through the entire conversation. When the call ended, I felt so low, convinced I wouldn’t get selected. But 10 minutes later, I received a call from HR asking if I could come for a face-to-face interview. During the face-to-face, I felt incredibly confident and calm. I gave my 200%, and now here I am, writing this post. Just my two cents: sometimes you feel like you know everything, but you still feel like you know nothing.
