You're not a tortured artist; you're an uninspired one. —that sounds like a cool name for a podcast, doesn't it? (I better add it to my “cool podcast name” collection) I've been repeatedly listening to a few podcasts in the last couple of months, and I thought to share them. All you need to succeed is unwavering grit and a value-packed idea. ↘︎ The Pitch with Josh Muccio. This is an excellent podcast for entrepreneurs and marketers. It reinforces the importance of mastering storytelling before pitching your brand to investors. Where numbers can't take you, stories will. ↘︎ Ideas That Matter Podcast by Vusi Thembekwayo. I don't know about y’all, but this guy has business wisdom for days. Although I recently followed his podcast, I've been listening to him for months on Instagram. Network = networth. Introduce yourself in the comments below! Let me explain: So many young creative freelancers never grow past the "one man band" mindset. You'll bring so much more value to the table when you lean into industry connections. Your clients want someone who can lead a team made up of DP's, Gaffers, Grips, Editors, etc. That said, please introduce yourself in the comments! Copywriters never get "writer's block!" Copywriting isn't a writing job. It's a sales job. You will do amazing sales if you have done amazing research on target customers. And if you've done amazing research, you'll never run out of words. If you hit writer's block quite often, then it simply means that you haven't done good research. High-paid copywriters spend the majority of their time on planning and research. Writing is just the cherry on top to tie a sales argument together. Once you know WHAT to say... It's easy for you to figure out HOW to say it.
