Good afternoon, building officials of Ontario! 👷‍♂️ 👷‍♀️ We released our latest quarterly progress report through RSM Code Connect. Readers can dive in to where we've been and learn more about the projects that we've been working on.  In addition, we also highlight a different service offering in each new report. This quarter, we're showcasing the great work of our Plans Review team. We support municipalities across Ontario with efficient and effective plan reviews, but we also offer specialized plan review services such as: Third Party Reviews. This is valuable for municipalities to ensure compliance and to identify potential issues prior to construction.  Certified Model Reviews. This review process is for frequently used building designs. This can help municipalities reduce the time and effort required for duplicate reviews. Second Dwelling Units (SDUs). With increasing demand for affordable housing, there is a surge in SDUs. Since our partnership with the City of Brampton, RSM has reviewed over a thousand SDUs since 2021. Since January our team, led by Kyle Anders & Mike Gilezan, has been benchmarking Mattamy Homes Mattamy's Part 3 residential MURB projects in the GTA. North Preserve Block 299 - Building B (Carding Mill Trail, Oakville) is a 5-storey MURB which tested at 1.66 L/s per m2 @ 75 Pa. While they're exceeding the 2.0 TGS target they would like to achieve 1.5 on future builds which would mean a 25% improvement and also hitting the NECB 2020 target.
