Launched in December 2013, the Working Group on Natural Resources Development is examining means by which First Nation and communities can share in the full range of benefits resulting from natural resource development. The substantive work of the group is aimed at considering various areas of study and presenting a summary of these observations in the form of a report for all First Nations and Canadians to consider.

In the implementation of their mandate the Working Group has the latitude to select which issues to examine, who to engage as part of its discovery work and the contents of their report for the National Chief of the AFN and Minister of AANDC. Through a dialogue with First Nations and industry experts involved in natural resource development, the Working Group will identify and define some of the foundational steps that First Nations can take to further their participation in natural resource development. -

Led as the promotional representative for Coffee Break from 2007-2009, playing a key role in securing sponsorship, developing marketing / promotional plans (Advertising, Direct Mail, Public Relations) and copywriting and graphic design of collaterals, print ads in commercials.
In 2010 and 2011, I became the lead for the project as the coordinator raising the highest total in a single year in the history of the chapter with over $26,000 raised in 2010.

In 2010 and 2011, I became the lead for the project as the coordinator raising the highest total in a single year in the history of the chapter with over $26,000 raised in 2010.
In 5 years the annual Coffee Break fundraiser raised close to $100,000 that stays local in Thunder Bay to provide individual and family counseling, specialized public education, and other essential support services for the many families coping with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. -
Alzheimer Society - Walk for Memories

Led as the promotional representative for the annual Walk for Memories fundraiser from 2007-2010, playing a key role in securing sponsorship, developing marketing / promotional plans (Advertising, Direct Mail, Public Relations) and copywriting and graphic design of collaterals, print ads in commercials.
In the 5 years the local Walk for Memories has raised over $200,000 for Alzheimer Society programs and services for people living with Alzheimer's disease and their families.
