🌟 **Building Bridges Through Strategic Portfolio Review** 🌟 At the National Bank of Canada, we have been diligently working on implementing lean portfolio management practices for our IT Infrastructure and Operations department. Three months after launching this initiative, we introduced a strategic portfolio review monthly meeting, which has been instrumental in fostering collaboration and visibility across our teams. Every month, in just 30 minutes, we bring together key stakeholders, including the sector’s portfolio manager, to review and discuss crucial aspects of our portfolio. As the lead of these sessions, I focus on three key aspects: ✅ ** Portfolio Health**: Providing updates on budget and delivery status. ⚠️** Impediments and Accomplishments**: Highlighting major issues that need addressing or significant achievements that deserve recognition. 🔮**Pipeline Overview**: Offering a glimpse of upcoming initiatives that might require executive approval. This concise yet comprehensive approach has sparked many crucial conversations among Principal Directors, significantly increasing visibility and enabling better collaboration between all parties involved. Seeing the positive impact these 30 minutes have on our operations and strategic alignment is incredibly rewarding.
