Prof. Gänzle, an active member of the Polyphenols Applications scientific board, will highlight the unexpected diversity of 2-ene reductases in lactobacilli, enzymes that reduce double bonds conjugated with an aromatic ring. Whether in the U.S. or Canada, one thing remains clear: wages constitute a substantial portion of operational costs, making efficiency and cost management paramount. News announcement – In our continued effort to lead in #pharma innovation, we’re delighted to announce we’ve secured a multi-million-pound deal with Canada-based Dalton Pharma Services (a Seikagaku Group company) for advanced robotic powder filling technology. Dalton identified the Robotic Fill-Finish Cell as being the ideal solution based on the feasibility studies of several difficult to handle powders. During trials, we were able to considerably reduce vial filling times (even with difficult to handle powders) from about 1–1.5 minutes to just 11 seconds. The state-of-the-art high-speed aseptic powder filling line will expedite the delivery of drugs to market, and will enable Dalton to meet its future business needs with increased sterility assurance, reduced risk of product failure and compliance with Annex 1.
