How do you effectively team up with sales? 🏉 You need to let them know that you’re there to help them and guide them: to be a partner first. “Of course, it’s not going to be easy,” says Nicholas Vanholsbeke , Senior Manager, Sales Operations at Numerator. “Sales teams feel that RevOps (or Sales Ops) is yet another back-office role. That’s why you need to earn their trust to have those conversations that are difficult, yet necessary.” Here’s an example: if you ask a rep about their forecast, either they might get defensive or ask some difficult questions. The duty falls in your hands to help them understand that you’re both working towards the same goal — driving revenue growth.
