You're navigating a partnership dynamic. How can you assert your boundaries and expectations effectively?
Setting terms ahead of time is very important for asserting your boundaries and expectations effectively. We cannot hold other parties to a standard they don't know we're holding them to, that's only a setup for issues. As humans we tend to expect others to know our boundaries and expectations, versus communicating those so that everyone is on the same page. Therefore, we have to proactively work on setting these terms at the start of our conversations/relationships with others. I have found it very useful to agree to boundaries and expectations with a type of upfront contract, where you can state what you want and need from the other party, and where (more importantly) they can agree to those terms. This solves lots of issues!

You're navigating a partnership dynamic. How can you assert your boundaries and expectations effectively?
Open dialogue is key to asserting your boundaries and expectations effectively, as you cannot communicate what you need and want without being honest with the parties involved. Yes, knowing yourself is key to knowing your boundaries and expectations, although you do also have to effectively communicate those to other parties once you know them. That can often be the trickier part for individuals, as they might not be used to being open and honest, or they feel uncomfortable with speaking to others in order to set boundaries and expectations. Therefore, creating the habit of being open and communicating with others on what you need is crucial to successfully doing that. If we don't proactively work on it then it won't happen!

You're facing conflict in partnership decision-making. How can you effectively navigate through it?
This is another really important one for effectively resolving conflicts in partnership decision making. Sometimes, parties just cannot agree to something and they don't see eye to eye on certain matters. In those cases it's crucial to seek compromise, as trying to get the other person to agree with you is sometimes impossible. This is fine, diversity of opinions makes sure that the maximum number of opinions is considered and used to decide on the best path forward, which is ideal. Finding a compromise after a conflict that each party is happy with can save relationships and will help the team continue to work together. As long as the compromise is fair and both parties agree to it, then you can move forward together and not in conflict.

You're facing conflict in partnership decision-making. How can you effectively navigate through it?
Communicating openly is key to effectively navigating conflict in partnership decision-making. All stakeholders involved have to feel heard and respected, plus have their opinions/feedback considered when deciding on the best path forward. Also, the root of the issues at hand needs to be understood to effectively navigate conflict, so it makes sense for everyone to be open and honest about their input. If stakeholders are holding back and don't feel safe saying what's on their mind, then the conflict will only continue. It helps to create a safe environment for everyone to share so they're heard and so the real issues can be worked on and hopefully solved/improved. If you don't communicate openly, I'm not sure the situation will get better.
