Why should advertisers support the CBC when they are losing audience share exponentially? And why is CBC blaming others for its own mistakes, and then using that as an excuse to ask for even more taxpayer subsidies?

🇨🇦 ⛏️ Noble Mineral Exploration (TSX-V: NOB) Announces Plans to Drill in proximity to the Location of a 140 kg, Mineralized Boulder Found near Hearst, Ontario. The company has plans to execute a drill program on 214 claims in Way Township commencing in mid-Jine. The claims extend from about 4 to 15 km southwest of the town of Hearst, Ontario. The drill program follows geophysical surveys done to identify targets that may be the source of the boulder. (Details in the link) 🚨Geolabs determined that the boulder contained: 71.8% copper; 3.5% lead, 1.09% zinc; 252 g/t of silver, 3.79 g/t of gold; 4.43 g/t of palladium; and 2.22 g/t of platinum and consisted primarily of cuprite Vance White, President and CEO of Noble, said “We are pleased with the progress on this property and look forward to the results of the drill program that may give us more clues as to the possible source of this rich boulder. EXACTLY...New grads everywhere with MBA and medical degrees want to be employees rather than business owners and growers..been told so by many new grads and current business owners who wish to sell their practice/business but no one wants it...doctors,lawyers,chiropractors,orthodontists,insurance companies,power tong companies and other oilfield service companies of various sizes...quality of life they say is more important than building wealth ....etc..etc.. no sense of pride due to changing provincial and federal government policies every 4 yrs in elections...Private equity thou will take the risk at 12% interest rates it seems

Very cautionary information for Calgarians. At 12% Jyoti Gondek is actually not far behind the numbers that elected her. Though she received 45% of the vote, that number represented only about 13% of the population. With astonishingly low thresholds to get a name on a ballot, name recognition alone means municipal politics in Alberta is drastically skewed to favour incumbents. The 2021 ballot was littered by 27 candidates. Given the outrage towards Gondek and council, I can foresee a ballot with a similar or higher number of candidates. A lot of zombie votes will go to Gondek simply because people will be overwhelmed by the ballot and just put an “x” by the recognized name. I can see why she is not worried. It is time that the structure of Alberta municipal elections is rethought. Danielle Smith and her government should move to make qualification for municipal office much more difficult. Instead of a set numbers of signatures (I believe only 100 is needed to be placed on the ballot as Mayor), it should instead be a percentage of population. This would clear up ballots and make the choice more clear.

Ultimately, based on the assessment of the opportunity and after careful consideration, the Nation determined that the TC Energy deal did not align with Nation values and priorities. For some of the communities, they have chosen to participate based on their own values and priorities and I applaud them for that. I’ve been asked about our participation many times over the last several weeks since the deal was announced – as many assumed we were one of the participating Indigenous communities. In some cases, we have been criticized and questioned as to why we have chosen not to.   Rather than get into the “why not”… I’d rather say this… following our spring Board meeting, SGC elected to focus its future growth centered around a theme of “building for the future”. We want to focus on opportunities to build generation, transmission, and energy storage infrastructure to support Alberta’s economy and population growth. We want to be involved in projects where our voice can be heard and we have the ability to actively participate as partners. We have chosen to focus our efforts on building for Alberta’s future and support projects that address future environmental and climate change issues. Catherine Tait is not even remotely credible as President of the CBC based on her comments in this article. On this basis, how can she be running a media company? The CBC is a taxpayer money pit with clear bias and poor, superficial scoop journalism bent towards its Liberal/NDP political masters. The only bright light on their team was Vassy Kapelos who wisely moved onto CTV and is thriving there. Notwithstanding the "spin" characteristic of the CBC under Tait's leadership, CBC is very clearly paying bonuses and I suspect there would be virtual unanimity on this point from LinkedIn users familiar with such. Tait should drop the semantics. Lastly, the notion that the compensation of large government entities should be shielded from disclosure to taxpayers is nonsense. Taxpayers have a right to understand whether they are getting value for their money. Considering CBC viewership and poor, biased content, they are not. Defund the CBC and let it sink or swim on its own. It doesn't deserve a penny from the public purse. Canada has way too many more important issues to deal with as a result of Liberal-NDP economic and social destruction of our nation.

People continue to flock to Alberta - 4.85 Million Strong “Oh the prairie lights are burnin' bright, The Chinook wind is a-movin' in Tomorrow night I'll be Alberta bound” Gordon Lightfoot, “Alberta Bound" Population growth continues to run hot. Alberta’s population stood at 4.85 million as of April 1, 2024, up 49,140 in the first quarter for an increase of 1.0%. Where are people coming from? Primarily B.C. and Ontario, a similar story to previous quarters. Alberta gained 8,980 from those two provinces last quarter. Over the latest one-year period (April 1, 2023 to March 31, 2024), 53,400 people were added from other provinces.

Not enough value is placed on “type” CRMs by the exploration and geochemical lab industries. Using synthetic or manufactured/simulated CRMs to monitor or control quality is not the best approach as these CRMs are usually easier to digest, are more homogeneous than real matrices and as a result provide an overly optimistic view of a lab’s performance, and more importantly the real variability of a geological ore reserve.
