For designers who want to learn WCAG, read on... Have you found yourself struggling to know what's in the WCAG standards by heart? I once took a couple days and painstakingly read the WCAG AA standards from cover to cover and trying to internalize them. While that was helpful, boy was it dry. I learned a lot, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend that approach because it was like trying to drink from a fire hose. I found a better way to learn WCAG that I'd recommend: the WCAG of the Day email newsletter https://dwcag.org/ It's a pretty simple concept. They email you one WCAG standard per day. Sometimes, it's A, sometimes AA, sometimes AAA. I find that it's brief enough to actually have time to read it every day, and it's directly from WCAG so you're getting accurate, technically precise information. I've personally found that over time this has been a better way to learn WCAG and it's sinking in more because I can take the time to let the standard sink in each day. I hope it helps!

Hey Design Leaders! What's your "Top 3 List" of things you must achieve through Design Leadership? Here's my take: 1 - You must create a culture of user-centered design excellence -- this means facilitating the understanding of "what it takes to succeed" between design and other functions (e.g. engineering, product management, sales, customer success) + instilling a "user-first" approach into the decision making of all disciplines. 2 - You must launch amazing solutions that drive business results -- it's not enough to just "do" design, there has to be an end result (a product, experience and/or service). Something must go out the door (an on time!) that creates impact for the business, customers and users. 3 - Your must expect and protect the craft -- this means establishing time and space for teams and individuals to ideate, explore what-if scenarios and hammer out all of the small yet important details. It's about a studio-centric culture that is productive and enjoyable and a part of the daily and weekly activities and workflows of teams. #design #designthinking #designleadership
